“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart…” Psalm 27:14 – Have you ever been impatient with the Lord? Maybe you even tried to “help God out,” or tried to do it yourself. God had made a promise to Abraham, when he was old that he would have a son with Sarah, who was barren. As they both grew older together, Sarah got tired of waiting on the Lord and in Genesis Chapter 16, Sarah grows weak in faith and tells Abraham to have a child with her Egyptian maid, Hagar. Ishmael was the child born, but he was not the “seed of the promise.” Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac, the “seed of the promise” was born! Can you “wait” on God’s promise? Have a great day!
