Yesterday morning, I preached a message here in Haiti from Malachi 3:8… “Will A Man Rob God?” In Mark 12:42-44, you can read about the widow woman who came to Jesus and put into the treasury (offering plate) two mites, which makes a farthing. This amount is about one penny! Yesterday in church, a widow lady came in and gave God all she had…one penny! We also had a thief come running through the front door, took the offering and ran out! Some of the people took off after him, caught him and brought him inside. The old widow lady hit him with her cane! I had the widow lady and the thief take off their disguises near the end of the service. Who were they? One was Dieuferly and the other was Stanley, our children from the orphanage.
