In Acts 10:10, there was a devout centurion called Cornelius. Even though he was a centurion (soldier), he was a Christian that prayed constantly and gave “alms” to the poor. God spoke to him in a vision. “Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4 – Imagine God speaking to us in a vision and saying the same thing… “Your prayers and your giving to the poor has come up to Me as a memorial.” God never forgets when we give to the poor.
