I took this picture years ago when driving down a crowded street here in Haiti. Traffic was horrible and there were thousands of people on foot in the streets, but as I looked out my window, I saw this man and he broke my heart. I decided to find a place to turn around so I could go back to help him, but there was a heavy blockade of traffic and I could not get back to him. Jesus tells the story of the poor man Lazarus in Luke 16… Do everything you possibly can to “never turn away a real need.” I keep this picture to remind my heart that God places people in front of you to help each day…maybe in the store, on the street, a letter in the mail, or even something you watch on TV. Keep your heart open and let Him bless you for blessing the poor. Sherry
