“If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him…” Deuteronomy 15:7-8 – It’s hard to believe that there are actually “stingy Christians,” but there are, even many in the ministry. They are so caught up in “things” and movements of the day that they completely forget about their neighbor, the poor and the poor around the world. The Lord says to “open your hand wide” to your poor brother and when you do great blessings from Psalms 41:1-3 begin to come upon you! The greatest joy is the joy of giving!
