“Always Give God Something that Costs you Something…”
In 2 Samuel, 24:18-24, Kind David was sent to “rear an altar unto the Lord in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.” When Araunah saw King David coming and knew he needed the land, Araunah offered to freely give it, along with oxen and anything David needed, to sacrifice to the Lord. But David said, “Neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and oxen for fifty shekels of silver.” When you give to God, don’t give him “left overs,” or things you don’t want, “give Him something that costs you something,” and He will bless you!
