“Forty Years in the Same Clothes…”
How many times do we complain about “wearing the same thing?” The Haitian people never complain and they have very little. Usually, they have only one nice “Sunday” outfit, and when we have a Mobile Medical Clinic, they wear it. However, God gave one of His greatest miracles to the children of Israel. They wandered in the wilderness for forty years with the same clothes and the same sandals, and their “feet never swelled.” Deuteronomy 8:4 “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years!” Bible scholars say the numbers were about 1,000,000 people who made the trip.
