“The Fourth Man in the Fire…”
The Book of Daniel Chapter 3 tells an amazing story of three Hebrew young men who were thrown into a fiery furnace, all because they wouldn’t “bow down” to a false god. This made King Nebuchadnezzar so mad that he had the furnace heated “seven times hotter” than usual. All three young men were thrown into the furnace with all their clothes on. King Nebuchadnezzar looked into the window, and thought he would see them “burnt to a crisp.” Instead, he saw “four men” walking around and talking. And he said, “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Wow! When they pulled the three young men out, they didn’t even have the “smell of smoke” on them!! You may be “in a fiery furnace today,” and the devil has “heated it seven times hotter!” But, if your spiritual eyes were opened, you would see Jesus walking around with you!
