“Angels Un-Awares…”
“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares…” Hebrews 13:2 – We believe in Angels! Several times in our life, Bobby and I have been visited by “strangers” who were “different.” Twice in the States this has happened, only to hear them “talking about the Lord,” and then disappearing.
Once in Haiti, my vehicle I was driving had bald tires and I had to drive to the mountains of Savaan Pit. I had crossed a river, my tires were wet, and I was trying to make the steep, “hair-pin” climb straight up the mountain. Suddenly, my wheels began to spin, (even though I was in 4-wheel drive) and I slid down the mountain! My two back wheels went over the edge…and I “hung there” in great fear with my fingernails dug into the steering wheel. I prayed that God would send help. Suddenly, a small group of Haitian men appeared out of “nowhere,” and pushed me back up onto the road. Then, I turned to call them to give them a tip, and they were nowhere in sight! (And if any of you live in Haiti, you would know this was a miracle for them not to stick around for a tip!) I believe they were “angels.” I made it home safe after that long trip. I believe in Angels, always…always will!! Do you? Sherry
