“Let Them Praise His Name in the Dance…” Psalm 149:3
I grew up in a small country church… I never saw anyone “dancing before the Lord.” When I started dating Bobby, he told me about the time he got saved when he was 16 years old. (The Lord had just healed him because he had never talked during all of his life, he only made sounds.) He would go into his bedroom, and lock the door and begin to “dance before the Lord,” like King David did when he brought the Ark back home.
The lady who raised Bobby, hated God, and hated church. One day, she “looked through the keyhole of his bedroom and saw Bobby dancing before the Lord with no music.” She had him taken “before the judge in Orlando, Florida, to have him declared insane.”
Here in Haiti in church, they “dance before the Lord” with praise! Even here in our Love A Child Children’s Home, during our children’s services, they dance before the Lord with praise! I believe our Heavenly Father loves to see us doing this! There is a time to “be still and know that He is God,” but there is a time to “dance before the Lord,” and it is Biblical. So, if you are discouraged, or fighting a battle, “put your music on,” and begin to praise Him and dance before the Lord, because “the battle is already won!” Blessings, Sherry
