Word from the Mission Field: 1-22-17 6:15 AM

“If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.” Proverbs 25:21,22 — What? God will reward us, or bless us if we are kind to our enemies? So true. We have a Haitian man named Mezelus working with us. When we hired him a year ago, he was so mean, I had a big fight with him and I fired him! However, soon after that, he became very ill. We put him in the best hospital in Haiti and took care of him. When he got out, he came to our church. When the message was over, he came forth for salvation and to say “something.” He spoke of our kindness to him, and because of that, he wanted to be “converted!” Mezelus still works for us at our orphanage, and I often think of “how God turned our enemy into this sweet precious man!” Have a blessed day!
