We began early yesterday doing “Disaster Relief” for victims of Hurricane Matthew that savagely tore through the country of Haiti. We loaded a bus with food, and supplies for Pastor Claude yesterday. He took all the food and supplies to his large orphanage in Léogâne. Today, he had HUNDREDS of people come to his school for food and a place to stay.
However, when he went back to his orphanage in Léogâne with supplies, the water was still high and as he approached, he saw three of his orphans floating in the water with “just their eyes” showing on top of the water. He tried desperately to reach them, but he struggled with the water as it carried them away. The Bible says, “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbor, go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.” Proverbs 3:27-28 – I don’t know how I can take the pain of Haiti anymore.
