“And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17
Elisha’s young servant was fearful because the enemy was about to attack. He looked out and saw the enemy, but when the Lord opened his eyes, he saw a mountain full of horses and chariots of fire! The servant could only see the enemy, but God saw the enemy already defeated, and smitten with blindness! You may be looking at your valley, but God sees you on the mountain! You may be looking into an “empty pot,” but God sees “more than enough,” and it is over-flowing! Do not despair; God never sees things as man sees them.
