“My sheep know my voice…” I remember someone telling us a story of going to a country where they raise a lot of sheep. The Christian observed the shepherd in the field with the sheep. When the shepherd sat down, the sheep did the same and when the sheep went too far, the shepherd called them and they came back. The Christian said, “Let me try.” He tried everything he could to mimic the shepherd, but the sheep wouldn’t listen. You see, the sheep knew the voice of their shepherd. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” John 10:14 — Again He said, “And a stranger will they not follow…” John 10:5 — The more we pray, the more we listen with our hearts, and the more we know the “voice” of the shepherd!
