“To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27 — Each month, we send food to the mountains near Love A Child where they are feeding the “widows.” What a precious outreach! We consider it a real joy to feed these widows, and when we all work together, the “work” gets done. We are blessed when we “feed the fatherless and the widows.” The Bible doesn’t say anything about “bowling alleys,” or expensive outreaches of a church, but there are many verses where the Lord says we are “blessed” when we consider the poor!
