“That those things, which cannot be shaken may remain…”
Bobby and I were here in Haiti when the 2010 earthquake hit. It was a day I will never forget. I was in the mud-hut village of Letant and Bobby was here with all our orphanage children and staff, in our two-story orphanage. When the quake hit, it moved this big orphanage back and forth with a roar! The children and staff on the bottom ran out but Bobby and Nini, one of our staff, were stuck on the top floor! The whole orphanage then went into a “wave” and, it shook “like a fierce dog, shaking its head!” Our orphanage stood strong because it was built on a “deep and strong foundation.” We remembered what the engineer said, who built our orphanage, “I am going to put in a very deep foundation, and it will cost you a lot more money, but one day, when you have an earthquake, you will call me and thank me!” And, we did!!!
Today, there may be things in your life that may “be shaken,” but you are grounded in Jesus and those things “which cannot be shaken” i.e.: your faith in God will remain… and you will come through it, stronger and better than ever! Sherry
