“Burning those Bridges.”

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 — When we made the decision to come to Haiti and be missionaries, we left everything; family, friends, everything. We were the poorest missionaries in Haiti, and probably struggled more than anyone. But, “God had burned our bridges, and we could not go back.” Since then, we have seen a lot of missionaries come to Haiti, some had “short tempers,” some had even stolen from the poor, and some had an “Absalom” spirit, and thought they could do it better, and some of them chased women. They are gone, and we are still here. I am so glad that God “had burned our bridges” so that we would stick it out and with that, would come great blessings, and great projects. God may be “burning your bridges behind you,” but it is for your good. Don’t look back at “Egypt.” Just go forward with Jesus! Blessings, Bobby and Sherry
