Ever see a Christian go around with a frown on his face? Some people almost think it is a “sin” to smile or laugh. You can meet a stranger and a smile will make you his friend! The Bible teaches us, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Proverbs 17:22 – There is a Creole proverb that says, “A Haitian laughs when he should be crying…” Haitian people, even in their extreme poverty, love to laugh…it picks up their spirits!
