“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17 — I am so glad that the Lord called us to Haiti. I have had my heart broken time and time again, but then, maybe it needed to be broken. We get so caught up with “things” in this world that could be taken away in a fire, a flood, or an earthquake.  But, the wonderful gift of feeding a child, saving a life, wrapping up the wound of a poor man, or hugging a mother and telling her that “we will give her food for her children each month,” nothing can compare to this. These things are invaluable. So when we “give to the poor” the Lord is watching, and He will always pay us back “with more.” Don’t ever be afraid to “give” when you only have little. Blessings, Sherry
