“My Sheep Hear (and know) My Voice”
Years ago, before we moved to Haiti, we were visiting a church where there was an Evangelist. He told a story about traveling to an area where they raised sheep, lots of sheep. He wanted to learn more about “the sheep and the shepherd.” He said, “I watched how the shepherd would call the sheep, and the sheep would follow him. When the shepherd would sit down, the sheep would lie down. When he got ready to leave one spot he would call the sheep and they would follow.” The Evangelist decided to call the sheep the same way the shepherd did, but they would not listen to him, even if he made the same movements. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, (you) and they follow me.” (John 10:26) — The more we communicate with the Lord, the more we are sensitive to His voice and we will not follow another. Have a great day, and “be a good sheep,” and listen to your Shepherd’s voice. Sherry
