“Praying in Faith, Believing…”
To understand prayer and faith, you must watch children. When they ask for something, you tell them “if they do this, or that,” they can have it.
They also understand “forgiveness.” They can be punished for something they did wrong, and yet, a little while later, it’s “I love you Mommie,” “I love you Poppie.” Two things about prayer, we have learned…
- Never attempt to pray for something, without asking the Lord to forgive you. Bobby and I always start our prayers by asking the Lord to forgive us as we forgive our enemies. And then, we begin praising God for what He has done.
- Don’t ever pray and ask the Lord for something, unless you absolutely believe He will do it.
“Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24
A “spirit of prayer” has swept over our Children’s Home here in Haiti, especially among the girls. I knocked on the door of our girls’ room yesterday morning, and another little one said, “Mommie, she cannot come, she is praying.” Let’s let the Spirit of prayer and communication with our Lord take over our lives.
