“He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” Proverbs 28:27 — The rich man in the New Testament did not want to see poor Lazarus lying at his gate, full of sores and hungry. And Lazarus did not expect the rich man to give him a large meal. He only wanted the crumbs that fell from his table. When the rich man shut his eyes on the poor, God shuts His eyes on the rich man.
