These are some of our older boys who grew up in our orphanage. They all have a job, love God, and love helping the poor. Left is Mikael. He is in charge of all the Feeding Programs, making sure that no “bad guys” show up to steal food. He is small, but he “is tough!!”
Next is Jean Gardy! We call him “Banker” because he has always handled all the “spending money” for our college kids. He has taught them how to save money! (He is so tight, he “squeaks” when he walks! Ha!)
Franceau… He helps Dieuferly with the sellers in the Gwo Maché Mirak Market. He is also in charge of teaching our younger children “Bible Verses.” He is married and has a baby.
Dieuferly is the “brains” behind the Market and other activities. He has a very big heart! Dieuferly was way back in the highest mountains with his mother and 8 children!! We saw his poor mother, holding Dieuferly with “club feet.” She had eight children, as I can recall. We built his mother a nice little house in Miracle Village!!
Carlos. We used to call him “Little Carlos” because there was another Carlos on our property, and so we had to call him “Little Carlos,” but we have to find another name for him! He is definitely “not” little! He and his mother were sleeping on the street when he was just a toddler. We gave his mother a job and took her and Carlos into our orphanage when Carlos was about one year old.
They are as close to each other as if they were “real brothers!” I just hope they “stop growing!”
