Yolanda… She was born in the high mountains of a remote village called Covant. (You have to ride mules to get there!!) Her mother, Marie Hermulus, died shortly after Yolanda was born. Her father, Jean Estima, was unable to care for Yolanda and her six siblings. The local pastor asked us to take her in. We agreed.
Yolanda has finished her education, but she and five other older children have to go to Port-au-Prince to take a final test. She is my “right arm,” she helps me with “lists for Christmas,” birthday parties, etc. She is a sweetheart and oh yes… she loves spaghetti!
Thank you, partners, for your love, prayers, and support.
