She and her cousin, Jolina, were both born in some of the highest mountains of Haiti. Yolanda’s mother died in childbirth, like so many others. She and her cousin were carried from the mountains to our orphanage here at Love A Child.

When Yolanda was a young teen, she showed signs of leadership and honesty. She knew how to “get out of a bad situation” and make good things happen. She is basically over the kids when we are gone, although there are room mothers. She lets me know which kids need school shoes, tee shirts, etc. She is intelligent and she “thinks ahead” of problems!!

Yolanda will have two more years of High School! I will continue to pray for the Lord to use her life to make Haiti a better place to live!
