This little girl is just one of the many Haitian children who are growing up in a world of “darkness” never being able to read or write. Her job is “helping her mother make mud cookies to sell” to other Haitian children who are hungry, just as she is. It is a never-ending job. Next year, by faith, we hope to build a school in the village of Sapaterre, where the Haitians of this village make lots of mud cookies. We just finished a beautiful church there, but now the children in the community need to “get out of the mud” and into a school where they can eat a hot meal each day and know that Jesus loves them!
