Kristela ”Zo Kiki.”

Kristela is 19 years old and in 9th grade. Her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were Voodoo! Her mother (pregnant with her), came to our Mobile Clinic in Savaan Pit. She was dying but we prayed for her and she became a Christian! 12 days later, her mother died after childbirth and her father brought her to us. She has brought us “great joy!” She loves music and she and one of her other “sisters” are the ones who teach “Christian Praise Dance” to our children. Kristela is “different” than all the girls. She is mischievous and can sometimes get into “a pickle!” Ha! But she is so sweet that you cannot be mad at her!

After our 4:30 a.m. “wake up call” with siren and bullhorn via “Camy” (one of our workers), Kristela turns up the Gospel music full blast! Everyone is up! Kristela is “always smiling!” The kids gave her a nickname… “Zo Kiki,” it means, “a young person who looks old!” We love Kristela. She wants to be a physical therapist, Sherry
