Blessings from Shrewsbury…

3044-2September 19-24, 2013

A Haitian Creole Proverb…
“Sa ki nan men ou, se li ki pa ou.”
“That which is in your hand, is yours.”

We are so very thankful for desperately needed supplies donated to
us by our friends and partners in the States.

Recently, we received a huge 40-foot container of cleaning supplies
and many other items from Shrewsbury Gospel
Temple and Pastor Roy Smith.
What a blessing this was!

As you may know, it takes a lot of cleaning supplies when you
have an orphanage of many “little hands and feet.”

We also need these cleaning and disinfectant supplies for our Jesus Healing Center.

 “Work can be Fun…”
Our older boys work with the Haitian staff to unload the containers.
It is hard work, but you will see that our kids and the “older kids” make work fun!

There were many gallon jugs of water on board.  Kanibal, a recent
Christian convert, gets busy grabbing the water jugs!

The 40-foot containers are difficult to bring through Haitian Customs,
even if we do have a “Franchise.”  The officials unload everything at the
dock in Port-au-Prince to make sure that everything is on the “Manifest,”
then they throw everything back into the containers.

Sometimes, this creates a mess for us, but hey – “what can you do?”

In addition to all of the things for the Clinic, there were also
things like “Potty Chairs.”  Job, one of our workers, takes a seat.

Kanibal is saying, “OK, those of you who have a dental problem, bring it on!”

“Paper Towel Basketball…”
Job, one of our Haitian workers, was trying to teach George, one of the boys from
our Orphanage, how to make a “basket” and a good throw.  Thank God they were
using packages of Clorox wipes instead of anything breakable!!

“An Hour Later…”
One hour later, the boys and the workers are still unloading
the container.  That’s a lot of stuff, Pastor Roy!

 Still unloading that long container…

Our workers begin to arrange items on pallets so that we
can lift them up high for storage until needed.

When it is finished, everything is neatly arranged on the pallets and taken
into our Food Distribution Center, where we have set aside a portion
for Disaster Relief.

From all of us missionaries here in Haiti…
