Even with the crisis here in Haiti, we are still doing our best to share the food we receive from Feed My Starving Children. We are not only feeding our Love A Children schoolchildren (about 8,000 a day), but we also share our food with over 90 other organizations. This morning, the Haitian children are not going to school because of the violent demonstrations. But because we have shared this food with others, it is “keeping them going,” even though grocery stores are not open and most people cannot travel on the streets because of the violence. This affects the poorest of the poor… but listen to what this wonderful missionary had to say. These friends are just some of the many we have been sharing our food with… and “you,” our dear partners, make this happen! Thank you! Bobby and Sherry
This note is from our missionary friend Karen Bultje, of Coram Deo… a wonderful organization that we help monthly with food:
“Thank you for your donation of 72 boxes of Feed My Starving Children MannaPacks. These MannaPacks are “true manna” for us and the people of Haiti. The country is on lockdown and some people are leaving their homes on foot from places like Cité Soleil and Canaan to get help. Some of these people hear gunshots around them as the country is in a huge political upheaval. We are so thankful for these MannaPacks during these difficult times and every day. This photo of Christianie shows her with her “objective achieved” – receiving food assistance after walking through a dangerous morning to get help. Thank you for helping us and the people of Haiti.” – Karen
