Yesterday, and today, is a very popular holiday to celebrate “Labor and Agriculture” throughout Haiti. At Love A Child, our Agricultural Training Center staff had prepared a big day-long celebration for the community and hundreds of joyous Haitians came to participate. Even many of our kids from the Love A Child Children’s Home came to plant new trees at Gwo Maché Mirak (Grand Miracle Marketplace). Wilner, our Director of the ATC, held community meetings and training programs followed by festival food for everyone, and trees and other plants that they could take home with them. The chance for the people to help improve their environment and to have trees such as Moringa, Flamboyant, Cassia, Mahogany, and Papaya to plant around their homes and community is very important to them, and they really appreciated the programs that Love A Child donors helped to put on for them. When they can help improve their environment, it helps them to have dignity, pride, and a better life for generations to come. Thank you to those donors who help the Haitians help themselves. God bless you. Rad Hazelip – Assistant Executive Director
