Dear Friends,
We are enclosing a security briefing that we just received this morning from the U.S. Embassy here in Haiti. Note that there is gang violence near the General Hospital. This is the government hospital for the poor. Now if they are sick or in an accident, where can they go? This government hospital is basically free, so the poor will suffer badly. The “Embassy Alert” has been raised from a level three to four, which means critical. Americans are not to travel to Haiti!
The problems are caused by political violence. They want the Haitian president to resign or leave. Many people are afraid to travel on the road! People are being robbed and there are kidnappings in so many areas of Haiti! It is not the poor, but the young gangs who have caused this, and now the poor are suffering beyond belief! We are so thankful that the Lord has led us to build a larger Jesus Healing Center “for such a time as this!” We are still the “boots on the ground,” and we are believing in a miracle for Haiti! Thank you for your prayers. Bobby and Sherry
