Jackson (Jasson in Creole), loves to work! We brought him in from a Mobile Medical Clinic in Savaan Pit a few years ago. His stomach was so swollen, it was hard to believe he could walk! He was full of water! He had kwashiorkor malnutrition. He was near death!

He had to have water drained from his body on a regular basis. Because of his sickness, he has had major health problems since then. But, he is a sweet boy and hard-working. He does not play too much with the other children because he is not that good at sports, but everyone loves him!

He and some other boys have “special cleaning assignments” twice a day! But, Jackson doesn’t mind… he is just happy to be alive!
