Look at this newborn baby that was born at our Love A Child Birthing Center a few months ago… Her name is Antoine Jepsen Vania Silien. When she was born, her mother didn’t even want to hold her. Her father wanted nothing to do with her. Our midwives (fanm saj in Creole) came and held the mother, comforted her, and prayed with her, while our son, Dieuferly, came and talked to the mother as well. He told her, “I was born with club feet and God can do a miracle for your baby, too! Don’t give up!” We gave money to the mother to take her baby to St. Vincent’s’ Hospital for therapy. There were many trips to the hospital, but look at the pictures below… What a doll baby!!! Special thanks to Nixon, our administrator, who took such good care of the mother and baby, and to our wonderful midwives!!
