A Child’s Prayer

A Child’s Prayer

“Give us this day our daily bread…”

We Americans are not allowed to pray in school because we might “offend someone,” even though we are supposed to have “freedom of religion.” We “used” to be able to do this. Haiti is considered a predominately “Voodoo” country, but it has “freedom of religion.” We can pray in school, in a doctor’s office, anywhere, and anytime. We don’t have to have “permits” for a street service (when it’s safe) and we can use a loudspeaker to preach the Gospel, even outside the airport. In fact, no one is going to stop you from preaching, singing, or carrying your Bible! Haitian children love to pray in school. After all, this will be the only meal they have today so they are sure to thank God for it!
