A Disaster Hits Haiti

Emergency:

Today was supposed to be a happy day for Bobby and me. We were on our way to attend our twin grandsons’ high school graduation. (We had never been able to attend their birthday all these years, due to our heavy load and responsibilities in Haiti.)

We were there in the Dominican Republic this morning, helping Roselyne to get into a French college so she could pass her “French test” and be accepted into a college in Canada.

We just got a phone call from Haiti regarding the floods that have taken a great toll. So many people and children have died in the floodwaters of Haiti. People have lost their children! Others lost their little homes, their cows, and their goats! One lady lost two children in the floodwaters, others are still trying to dig their children out of the mud!

Our Haitian team will be taking Disaster Relief kits to all the families they can get to. We have reserved these items “for such a time as this.” Please, please pray for the poor in Haiti! This is an emergency!

Note: Thank the Lord we already started with the community committee, helping to fund the big river diversion project. We received word this evening, that because of this project, several hundred lives were saved. We will send pictures and a report tomorrow.
