This is Ginyia, now age seven. Her real name is much longer, but it has been shortened to Ginyia. She is part Dominican. Her mother died during a C-section, and her father left her to go to the Dominican Republic. She was being raised by her 17-year-old cousin, but when she could no longer take care of her, she took her to the Department of Social Services. They contacted us and asked if we would take her. Ginyia has done well. She was very shy at first, but she has been surrounded with love by all her “sisters” at the orphanage.
Ginyia LOVES to dance and she is very, very good at it. She dances with the girl’s “praise team,” and always keeps up with every move of every song. She dances very “professionally.” She loves to read, study, and is good in school. She works hard and always has her hands full with “baby Zachary and little Zoey!” Ginyia is such a blessing! We always think, “If only her mother could see her now…” She is a little doll! We really love her! Sherry
