Look at these beautiful twin babies! The mother and babies would have died, had she not made it to our Birthing Center. Madamn Pierre was not even one of our patients… She waited until she was “ready to give birth,” to come to our clinic. Usually, we cannot accept a mother in this late of the birth stage, because she can have major complications that we are not aware of, but, she was desperate.

Our doctor and midwives took excellent care of her, but she had to have a C-section and she had no money. We took her in our ambulance, got her to a hospital to do the C-section, and paid for the surgery. Then, made sure she was able to get back home with her babies.

She came back today because she was anemic and had trouble breathing. Our doctor checked her over and gave her medications. She cannot breastfeed, so we sent baby formula, along with baby clothes. We gave a gift bag of beans, rice, and Feed My Starving Children food. She will come back in a week and we will check her again. She realizes that the Lord, Himself, guided her and made a “door open,” for her in the midst of all the chaos in Haiti. It’s amazing how the Lord always looks for the “one” and opens doors to blessings! We are so thankful to our Birthing Center staff, to our doctor, and to Nixon, our administrator. Most of all, we thank the Lord for all He has done!!
