This week’s trip to the Dominican Republic has been very successful. Philemond, our driver and Joker, our mechanic, Dieuferly, and I left Haiti on Sunday. It is about a five-hour drive from Love A Child across the border into the Dominican Republic. Bobby was flying in from the States to meet us there. He had been ministering at some churches and flew into the D.R. to meet us.
A young Dominican couple, RL and Vanessa, had arranged several appointments for Dieuferly, regarding his clubfeet problems. He’s had a total of three surgeries, but the surgeries were not successful like they should have been. He has been suffering ever since and it has been difficult to find the right surgeon.
We work together with David George and his workers in the D.R. That couple is RL and Vanessa, his wife. They are the ones who searched out hospitals and made all the appointments for Dieuferly. By a miracle, we found the very best doctor and hospital in the D.R., thanks to RL and Vanessa! After meeting with the doctor, on June 9th, Dieuferly starts the process!
Another great thing that happened was that we were needing a vehicle for the ministry in the D.R. We needed the truck desperately to support our outreach in the D.R. We had mentioned this need on Facebook, and someone responded! It was a miracle!!! Yesterday, we signed the papers for the new Kia truck, and RL and his wife drove it away! They already had a huge outreach planned for the children in the batays, and now, they have a “miracle truck” to transport all the food, toys, clothing, etc. for this outreach and many more! RL and Vanessa, David George Ministries, we all work together for the Lord. We are ganging up on the devil!
It brings tears to our eyes to see the “goodness of God” and how the Lord speaks to His children to meet needs!!! We are thankful to our partner who sponsored this truck and to all our partners who help! We love the Haitians and the Dominicans.
