This coming year, our goal is to “feed more hungry children in Haiti than ever before.” There are more malnourished children in Haiti than ever before… that is why we have built a new Malnutrition Center. “Hunger is worse than ever before.” Children are taught to lay on their stomachs so that they will not feel the pain of hunger. More “mud cookies” are being made now, because a dirt “mud cookie” with some water, will expand in the stomachs of the children and give them the feeling that they are full. Mud cookies are cheap and they are sold all over Haiti! Others will resort to drinking “saltwater soup” as the Haitians call it. They will throw in some wild leaves to make it look like “soup,” but there is nothing but boiled water, salt, and some wild leaves… no protein.

We are believing in God, to help us, as never before, to reach these children. We understand the pain of hunger because many of our orphan children were dying of hunger when we rescued them. Please remember these Haitian children in your prayers.
