Another Future Doctor

This is Jackson, (Jasson, in Creole). We found him a few years ago during a Mobile Clinic in Savan Pite, Haiti, in the mountains. He had a huge, bloated stomach and tiny small arms and a round swollen face, due to Kwashiorkor Malnutrition. He was “heavy” to pick up, due to the size of his stomach. We knew if we left him in Savan Pite, he would die. We brought him to our Love A Child Children’s Home and began the process of trying to get the water from his stomach and get him well. It has been several years and he is on a lot of medication still due to his kidneys but, he takes it day by day.

Jackson is a quiet boy. He is usually by himself. He does good work in school and is in sixth grade. I asked him what he wanted to be, and he replied, “A doctor.” I asked, “Why?” He replied, “Because the doctors are good to me. They saved my life and I want to do the same.”

Who knows what plan God has for each child! He is the great “architect,” and already knows what the “plan” will look like!

Thank you, precious partners, who help sponsor these children and change lives! We love our children and we love you!
