I saw Wilner, the head of our Agricultural Training Center (ATC), cutting tree branches early this morning. The streets of Love A Child are lined with beautiful, strong trees. But they did not grow to be beautiful, strong trees on the ground. There was careful pruning involved when they were young.
Pruning a young tree provides essential benefits that contribute to its long-term health, structure, and growth. By selectively removing certain branches early in the tree’s life, pruning encourages a strong central leader, well-spaced limbs, and a balanced canopy, which helps prevent structural problems as the tree grows. Proper early pruning minimizes the need for more drastic cuts later.
I thank God for Wilner and his crew. They have this place looking like a botanical garden.
