It’s hard to imagine a child growing up in an orphanage in Haiti with the dream of being a “helicopter pilot!” It’s even harder to imagine that it’s not a boy, but a young teenaged girl named Daphline! She is now 14 years old and “tall!” She is in the 9th grade and does well in school.

Daphline had other dreams, but in January that changed! A helicopter pilot landed right on our Love A Child school yard! Out jumped the helicopter pilot, who had brought four of our older children that had been kidnapped! They were released close to where the helicopter was, and the pilot was gracious enough to get the kids back to Love A Child! That was the first helicopter Daphline had ever seen!

Aside from her love of helicopters, she can play the drums well and takes part in our praise dances! Daphline will probably change her life dream many times before she is out of school, but we have always taught our kids to “dream big!” Thank you, Partners, for loving and praying for these wonderful children that God has given us to raise! Great is your reward in Heaven!
