Today, we had the “Inauguration” of our Love A Child Birthing Center! It was awesome! The First Lady, “Madamn President” was there (white blouse).  She is a very “sweet and gentle person,” who adores children and loves our Birthing Center!! With us were our friends, Pastor Joel Trimble and his wife, Yvonne, and of course, Kaeli, our missionary. We also had missionary friends there. Pastor Mark Ostrander, Jesse, his son, (who were responsible for the construction) were there, along with David George. Many Senators were there and other people from different government offices.

The little children from our Love A Child School cheered, clapped, sang, danced, and “went crazy” when the President’s wife arrived! Madamn President did a great thing for Love A Child… She said that she would make sure that we could “issue birth certificates” for each baby that leaves our clinic. This is a “big thing” in Haiti because many mountain people don’t have a birth certificate, and they don’t know how old they are… and if they don’t have a birth certificate, they can’t go to school! So, we are so thrilled about this!

We want to thank all of our friends and partners for their prayers, and support of this beautiful project. Our “Women’s Educational Training Center,” will help us to shed light on mother’s wellness, and teach them about “family planning” and how it is better to have “fewer children who are healthy,” than many who are sick and malnourished. Our wonderful midwives, (saj fams), who will also be in the Teaching Center, are devout Christians and this makes all the difference in the world. We have “no words,” to say “thank you” to Jesus, and we give Him all the Glory!  Bobby and Sherry
