Some disabled children in Haiti would live a horrible life if it were not for Christian organizations that care for them. Many parents think their “child” is cursed by Voodoo if they have a disability or mental problem and often, sadly enough, some parents will not share enough food with these children, hoping they will die. We have seen this before in many “far out” villages where superstition, fear, and Voodoo are in control. I know some Haitians will disagree with this because they have not seen this, but I have rescued a child who was treated this way. Thank God, we can share our food with organizations like “Melissa’s Hope,” which care for children with disabilities. Thank God that when we work together, good things happen!!! We love you.
