Daniello… He’s a Hard Worker.

Daniello is now in 3rd grade. We found him in the “mud hut of Old Letant.” His parents died and some people in the village were taking care of him as best they could, but he was small and very thin. We knew he could never survive in that mud-hut village because they cannot feed their own children.

It is difficult for him in school. He doesn’t like to sit in a chair all day. He is a “one on one” person. At one point when he was small, I walked into his classroom and the teacher had him “tied in a chair,” because “he kept getting up and leaving.” He does not do well in groups, but he will do anything you want him to do, if it is “one on one.” He does not hang around the rest of the boys much… Yet, all the children are afraid of Sampson, our Rottie, because he is big and black, but, Daniello will walk right up to him and pet him, unafraid. Daniello is not afraid of anything!

He keeps his closet clean and we tell him how proud we are of him. Although he does not work well in groups, he does great “one on one.” Daniello is a “hard worker,” and he wants to please! We really love Daniello. He is different, but, then, God gave us all kinds of children and we love them all… especially Daniello!
