Dieuferly has an amazing story… He is one of our Love A Child kids. We found him when we traveled to the mountains of Covant, four hours by four-wheel drive, and many more hours by mule! His mother had nine children, and Dieuferly was one of them. He had club feet. At that time, he was about three years old, and we brought him all the way down the mountain on a mule, and then back to our old orphanage by four-wheel drive.

He had some major operations by the U.S. military, who had come in after the embargo. Most of his surgeries were not good because the surgeons were not professionals with club feet. He has struggled all of his life.

He is now a young man in his early 20’s and is one of our Love A Child photographers. But he is also a “comic!” When Bobby preached last Sunday in Oriani, a village high in the mountains, he asked Dieuferly to dress up “like an old man.” But when Bobby said, “Keep on walking,” the old man would get up, fall down, but keep on walking!! The people got the message! Now, everyone is saying, “Don’t be discouraged… Just keep on walking!!”

We love Dieuferly and want the best for his feet. If any of you know of an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in club feet, we would love to send his records and x-rays to him/her and ask their opinion.
