Dimelia (Didi), has been with us since the age of three. She had fallen into a pot of boiling water and her skin was melted from her neck down to her waist. When her father brought her to us, she was, indeed, a sad little girl. We sent her back and forth to the Shriners Hospital in Boston for many years of skin graft surgeries. In her final year, she attended Morning Star Academy (an English speaking High School) here in Haiti. She speaks English, French, Creole, and now Spanish.
We just brought her back to Haiti two days ago. We had sent her to a special doctor in the Dominican Republic for shots to alleviate the pain in her chest area and to put some elasticity in her chest scars. Our friends, David and Angie George, found a wonderful Christian family, RL, and Vanessa, who in turn, found a doctor that could give her these “special shots” she needed. They took her into their home and made sure she was taken to the doctor regularly for her appointments. We just brought her home to Haiti, two days ago.
She is applying to UniCamillus University, in Italy, which is the same university that Florence is going to. Today we had to hurry to get copies of her diploma and her grades to the university. She desires to be a doctor, and she is so smart, that she can do anything she puts her mind to!
Dimelia has a gift for worship ministry! We love her to pieces!!! We will keep you updated on Dimelia!
God bless you! Bobby and Sherry
