We are so proud of Farmer John who has his butcher shop inside our Love A Child  Gwo Maché Mirak market. He has the best meat in Haiti!  Farmer John’s butcher shop is a blessing to many people in Haiti… plus jobs! Read his story of a special Haitian woman and what she must face making a living.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2022!! This woman comes once a week from Carrefour to Fond PARISIEN!! Which is a long, long way away with 3-4 or more big gangs blocking and kidnapping between. She has a business selling fritay at night.  She buys 3-4 big 50lb sacks of pig heads and meat. That’s a lot of work to ride a Tap Tap and Moto and also walk to get home. It takes over 4-6 hours for the trip. I have no clue how she found out about Farmer John’s. It’s unbelievable what people need to do to make business in Haiti.  Now she has to wait for a free day to go through Martissant then make a mad dash!! I really hope we can start to deliver to that area again so we can deliver to her. What a woman!
