This morning we left for the mountains of Mapeki. Wow! What a rough trip through the mountains…we were “above the clouds!” The roads were “really rough and extremely dangerous.” We drove on the edge of cliffs, nearly all the way up!

Pastor Souffrance, who works a lot with us, along with Peter, and Joseph (a Haitian Pastor and Evangelist), and our own Haitian “Food Distribution Team,” traveled high into the mountains in this new area. We had never been here before. We were in an area where “the majority of all these children have never been to school!” Their parents mostly grow beans (although the rainy season has not come yet); it takes three months to grow beans. (If they have rain!) Everyone here is “extremely poor!”

These mothers were so patient to stand in line and wait for their food box! But they were so thankful!!! After, we had good food cooked for these precious children! They were so, so thankful!

We wish to thank you, our partners, for making this possible. Without you, that food would not have traveled up into those mountains today! You make good things happen for the poor! We love you and the people of Mapeki; thank you!
