We were up before daylight this morning getting ready for our big food distribution in the Truttier dumpsite in the Cité Soleil area of Port-au-Prince. We thought it was bad “last time,” but heavy rain has made everything worse. We walked through garbage, pig feces, mountains of flies, broken glass and rusty tin cans. We had to wear masks because it was so hard to breathe, but the people were so thankful for their food… it was so “worth the sacrifice.” Thank you partners for making this a reality for the hungry!
